Companies, both local and global, are making migration plans to ensure a smooth adoption from IPv4 to IPv6. Besides the obvious expansion of IP address space, IPv6 also brings new technologies into the network architecture planning, design and deployment phases. However, companies must still maintain access to their current IPv4 customers while managing the transition. To effectively achieve these objectives, critical IPv6 technical knowledge is needed.

This inaugural IDA IPv6 Technical Conference 2011 aims to equip IT Managers and technologists with critical IPv6 technical knowledge to facilitate the adoption of IPv6. Technical knowledge such as IPv6 Adoption Guide, implementation lessons on various IPv4-IPv6 transition mechanisms will be shared. There will also be hands-on technical training sessions conducted by APNIC (limited seats available).
